It was a beautiful morning just before sunrise (615am) as I began the 70 mile trip to Rhode Island for Cars and Coffee. All systems go - although those headlamps were very dim. They were fine for sunrise driving - but as I'd learn later that evening - completely useless for nighttime driving. I'll need to look into that later.

Fortunately the hurricane didn't hit us as planned - although as a precaution C&C was moved from Fort Adams in Newport to the Audrain Storage Facility in Portsmouth. It was really a beautiful ride down from Boston along route 24 South.

While the field on which the cars were staged was a little soggy, turnout was good ( about 100 cars) and it was interesting to see that the museum has this storage/repair facility as well. The common man was directed to the grassy field while the "VIP" section (consisting of largely Porsche) were situated adjacent to the driveway in front of the storage facility. The event was from 8-10am. I arrived a little early and then headed for home around 9:45am.
